Mystery
By: Jeremy Geffen © 1981, Jeremy Geffen
It lives in the seed of a tree as it grows You can hear it if you listen to the wind as it blows It’s there in a river as it flows into the sea It’s the sound in the soul of a man becoming free And it lives in the laughter of children at play And in the blazing sun that gives light to the day It moves the planets and the stars in the sky It’s been the mover of mountains since the beginning of time Oh Mystery, you are alive, I feel you all around You are the fire in my heart You are the holy sound You are all of life, and it is to you that I sing Grant that I may feel you Always, in everything. And it lives in the waves as they crash upon the beach I’ve seen it in the gods that men have tried to reach I feel it in the love that I know we need so much And I know it in your smile, my love, when our hearts do touch But when I listen deep inside, I feel you best of all Like a moon that’s glowing white And I listen to your call And I know you will guide me, I feel you like the tide Rushing through the ocean of my heart that’s open wide Oh Mystery, you are alive, I feel you all around You are the fire in my heart You are the holy sound You are all of life, and it is to you that I sing Grant that I may feel you, always in everything Oh grant that I may feel you always, in everything Oh grant that I may feel you, always, in everything. Oh Mystery, oh Mystery…

The Spaces In Between
By: Shaina Noll © 2016 Singing Heart Productions (ASCAP)
Here we are in the gentleness of twilight Here we are where all distinctions start to fade Here we are and there’s a place where I can meet you In between and in the spaces in between The stories that we’ve made… In the spaces in between the stories we are living In the spaces in between I meet you clearly now I see Here we are and all the boundary lands are fading I can see you here I can see you, hello and Namaste’… Here we are, on the edge of twilight’s softening In the sweet and gentle light where all distinctions fade Fading into softness and the sweetness of our being In the sweetness of our being I can see you, Namaste’… Here we are in the twilight of the evening In between the spaces of the stories that we play In between the spaces where the stories have their meaning There is a place where I can meet you And there is a place where we can be… Quiet as the gentle twilight, silent as the evening light Quiet as the gentle twilight softening the day And all the boundaries are elusive And distinctions that we make are hard to see from where we are In the spaces in between, in between the stories that we’re playing In the spaces in between I find you shining In the spaces in between I find you shining Oh there you are… oh there you are… In between the stories In the spaces in between our stories Oh here we are Here we are We’re shining in the light We’re shining in the quiet Here we are oh Here we are Here we are Hello and Namaste’… Here we are In the spaces in between In the spaces in between Hello and Namaste’….

Darrell Lynn Jones, Author: Becoming Myself: A Soul Journey with Chronic Illness and Disability
Sweet, affirming, centering, hypnotic; a musical meditation that conjures up sitting by a tranquil lake or walking a labyrinth to a center point of stillness. It begins with an affirmation of my place in the universe and continuously calls me to remember the sacredness of every moment. Each song brings its own signature to the journey—from the transcendent, vibrant harmonies of One Voice, to the exotic, liberating rhythms of Ocean of Shanti, to the slumber supporting comforts of Neshama, it creates a space where time is suspended.

Wow…what heart-full, soul-full music! Each song is a mantra, a prayer, if you will. And for me, more importantly, each song has a pulse–a heartbeat–that soothed my heart and calmed my mind in a very special way. Thank you, Shaina Noll, for the gift of such music!

Shaina’s newest CD, Resting in the Now, arrived in my world with perfect timing. Perhaps it has a lot to do with the “the now” where I believe everything is perfect. The deeply meditative and quiet space of Shaina’s music creates an “om zone” for me: I can dive in anytime, anyplace and experience the divine right now. Many of the songs luxuriate in a longer length, which adds options to my meditation practice. I especially appreciate the minimal quality of the music; there is a simple and powerful trust within these songs that transfers to me as I listen.
