This song is my first collaboration with Jacob Hauge Mateo, a gifted and soulful composer/pianist/singer-songwriter from Aarhus, Denmark. It features multi-tracks of my voice, singing without lyrics, in a dance with Jacob’s beautiful piano and his own vocals.

Ambient, mysterious, haunting in its own way, Ingress takes you on a journey that has been described as moving, and deeply calming.

I loved the process of co-creating this piece with Jacob…and am grateful to him for creating a bridge to a new kind of singing that has been on the horizon for me for many years.

One more note about Ingress is that it is also the name of a feature film, written, directed by and starring my daughter, Rachel Noll James. Synchronicity and sparkles of inspiration led to her asking if she could use the song to play over the closing credits of the film, and Jacob’s inspiration to use Ingress as the title for the song as well.
